Batman: Arkham City

Batman: Arkham City is a third-person action-adventure game based on one of the most beloved superheroes from comics, animation, film, and toys: Batman. This expanded edition of the original game was crafted by Rocksteady Studios, with its official Mac release launching in autumn 2012. The world is five times larger than its predecessor, Batman: Arkham Asylum, immersing players in the darkest city of the DC Comics universe. Gotham’s vast locations evoke fear in ordinary citizens as control shifts more and more to roving gangs, murderers, and the city’s most infamous psychopaths. Numerous gangs now rule the districts, each led by iconic villains like Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Joker, and other human monsters.

When Batman sees his symbol projected onto the stormy night sky, he knows Gotham urgently needs him. This time, Batman does not fight alone: the developers have added the option to play as Catwoman—his rival, now an uneasy ally. Gameplay for Batman and Catwoman differs significantly.
